CrossFit Level 1 Trainer (CF-L1)
Weightlifting Certificate
I started CrossFitting back in 2016 at the age of 41. I did not come from an athletic background, except for the year and a half I swam in high school. A very good friend of mine spent about a year trying to talk me into joining her at her gym but I kept saying “no" because I did not like group classes. I finally agreed to check it out because I was intrigued by the idea of getting stronger, not just losing weight, but building muscle - especially in my posterior. I was welcomed by a great community of people that treated me with kindness and coaches with all the patience needed to train a clumsy newbie such as myself. The combination of effective coaching and my new found passion for the sport of fitness and, most importantly, my consistency to learning and training helped me grow into the confident, strong and badass lady I am today. I am a work in progress, still working on mastering skills, getting older, fitter, even hitting new personal records! Living my best life!
I enjoying teaching, serving others, helping and volunteering, it’s just in my nature [a family trait] and I also enjoy learning and understanding why we do what we do in our training which is how I naturally found myself with a desire to coach. I like helping people discover their strength: mental, physical and emotional. I like coming along in the journey and watching people achieve what they didn’t think was attainable. I may even be able to help people have fun doing burpees.
